Dichroic glass pins are each a one-of-a-kind. I have a background in painting
and use my knowledge of color and design to create tiny little works of art with
a practical purpose; to adorn you or the special someone you're shopping for! I compose each piece and then fire them
in the kiln at 1500 degrees. After cooling, I cold work each piece to shape it
just right. Once ground and washed, the pieces are fired again at a lower
temperature to add shine to the edges.
Show above is the medium sized mosaic pin. Pins are available in
black, red, blue and green. The color refers to the background art glass color. I use
complementary dichroic colors that work together to create a work that sings. Each pin has a bail on the
back so you can also were it as a pendant. These pin/pendants contain many Glass
Orchids Exclusive Patterns created by my husband, Greg Tang. I the examples
above you can see our Cave Art pattern (little deer like creature in the black
pin) , Star pattern (in several) and Celtic patterns (in blue & green) ... among
others.....These unique patterns are just one of the ways we insure our work is
