| Each dish is created one at a time in our Maine based
studio. The glass is cut, ground to shape, assembled and fused for 12
hours in our kiln at 1300 degrees. Once cooled the piece is further
refined, cleaned and placed back in the kiln on a mold to achieve the
'dish' shape and fired again for 12 hours. Fused glass dishes are
dishwasher safe but we do not recommend using them in the microwave or in
the oven. Some dishes come with rubber 'feet' unattached for your
convenience; you can use them if you choose but they may come off in
the dishwasher so please hand wash. (I know because I washed some in my
dishwasher and had to call the repairman when one of the 'feet' clogged up
the works so consider yourself warned!) |
